Special offerings for this year’s Rijeka Advent were devised by caterers of the Rijeka Gastronomic Ports who will provide a holiday atmosphere and meticulously crafted menus in order to make the dining experience more dignified and appealing during the holiday season.
The kitchen by Miljenko restaurant at the Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa allows guests to enjoy holiday banquets on Sundays, Christmas lunch with select traditional dishes and a New Year’s Eve celebration with a sumptuous buffet and live music, even including a special holiday treat package for their four-legged companions.
The Bonavia hotel offers a lavish range of formal dinners, banquets and catering tailored to all sorts of holiday gatherings, as well as an abundant assortment of seasonal fish and meat a la carte menus at the Kamov restaurant, while their cafe Dante provides a selection of popular winter drinks and beverages, holiday snacks, desserts and cakes that you can order and take away for social occasions at your own home or office.
You can have a well-earned celebration of the end of the business year at the organised Christmas parties with live music and an exquisite selection of seasonal food at the Tarsa tavern in December. In the inviting ambience of the tavern, which offers a special Christmas Eve menu, you can welcome Christmas with dishes that bring back the most cherished holiday memories. The craziest night of the year at Tarsa is highlighted by the finest culinary flavours and the renowned Kantridersi to ensure that you greet the New Year in the most fun way possible.
The Boatel Marina restaurant is also preparing an unforgettable New Year’s celebration, with entertainment provided by the Old School Band, whose fantastic set list comprises EX-YU rock and international artists. Zoran Papić PAPE is tasked with creating a cosy atmosphere at the restaurant salon with carefully curated domestic and foreign evergreens. For the New Year’s Eve cocktail dinner, they have prepared a buffet with a wide range of hot and cold side dishes, traditional holiday dishes and cakes, an extensive wine list, a welcome drink and sparkling wine for a midnight toast.
The Antack restaurant is also participating in Advent with their seasonal offering and enticing menu options for banquets and holiday get-togethers that will equally satisfy lovers of meat, fish and vegetarian delicacies, including traditional local ingredients prepared with modern and creative methods.
Wine & Dine Kod Zajca tells their Advent story with a special range of holiday meals that they will be preparing throughout December, including cod stew for Christmas Eve and must-have stuffed leaves and roasted pork to bid farewell to the old year with style.
Boonker has prepared an excellent daily menu of seasonal dishes and in addition to the most delectable and sought-after “spooned” dishes and those you can enjoy on the go, they have an abundant assortment of hot beverages and cocktails available on the most beautiful heated terrace by the sea. Along with the popular mulled wine, you can also try mulled “rakija” (fruit brandy), hot gin and whiskey.
Bistro Mornar has saved the best for last with the dessert combo from their Christmas menu, which shares its name with the Croatian saying “sugar comes at the end” and this December, it is the place to be for Christmas and New Year’s Eve business socials and meetups with friends, as well as an excellent choice for taking a break from cooking with all the perks of homemade cooking and a relaxed family atmosphere. The seasonal menu includes two meat, two fish and one veggie three-course option that will tempt you with their fresh ingredients and irresistible presentation.
