Tuesday is a popular day out in Rijeka and is reserved for students. The main feature of Tuesday is “Đir po starom gradu”. Thursday is another student day dominated by the Istrian Club and the Church Club. The Istrian club is a favorite among students who prefer dance and local music, while the Church is a temple of electronic and techno music.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the offer of going out is the greatest. In addition to the mentioned places that are definitely open on weekends, you must also visit Šprinter, Aphoteca BAR, Klub mladih Rijeka and Klub Život. One of the popular places for nightlife in Rijeka is “Hartera”, a former paper factory that has been turned into a cultural center. Various concerts, festivals and parties are held here, and in the surrounding bars and clubs you can have fun until late at night. If you like fun and sports, Kooglana in the Tower shopping center is a great place. Disco bowling is held on Saturday evenings, where fun is guaranteed with, bowling, loud music, light effects and drinks.
If your idea of fun isn’t partying until the wee hours of the morning, Rijeka also has a strong pub quiz scene. Quizzes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Bačva BAR, a great place for everyone who likes to enjoy a great atmosphere and pleasant company, and on Mondays and Wednesdays in River Pub, a great place for all fans of pop and rock. River Pub traditionally holds karaoke on Thursdays.
In addition to all of the above, Stand Up comedy, various concerts, exhibitions and cultural events such as the International Rijeka Carnival are often held in Rijeka.
