The Rijeka Carnival, also known as the Fifth Season, is one of the largest and most notable carnival events in Europe and a powerful symbol of the city of Rijeka. Every year, this one-of-a-kind gathering is attended by thousands of participants and visitors who transform the city into a venue for freedom, creativity and merrymaking.

This year, Rijeka Carnival’s human aspect is underscored by a personalised communication campaign “People Who Make the Carnival”, which showcases people who dedicate their lives to the carnival 365 days a year. The faces of this year’s carnival include Dino Dolušić (Zametske Maškare), Sandra Picco (Draške Maškare), Dora Pilepić (Siti i Pijani) and Leo Rudan (Lumber Club) as representatives of various carnival groups whose enthusiasm, effort and passion keep the carnival tradition alive. The public will have a chance to get to know them through a series of personalised interviews.
