27th HOMO SI TEĆ / RIJEKA RUN FESTIVAL OF SPORTS AND RECREATION from April 4 to April 18, 2026

The 27th Festival of Sport and Recreation “Homo si teć / Rijeka Run” will take place from April 4 to April 18, 2026. Over the course of three weekends, visitors and participants can look forward to a rich program of continuous activities, numerous races, competitions, and entertainment events, in yet another edition of the largest street sports event in Croatia.

The grand finale is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, when more than 15,000 participants are expected to join a wide range of competitive and recreational races. On that day, the city center will transform into a vibrant open-air playground, hosting a unique sports, recreational, and entertainment program. Professional athletes and recreational runners alike will have the opportunity to enjoy running through streets closed to traffic, experiencing the city in a completely new and inspiring way.

As part of the 27th edition of “Homo si teć,” a sports equipment fair will also be organized, along with a charity sale of official festival T-shirts and presentations by Rijeka’s amateur and professional sports clubs and associations. This segment of the festival offers visitors the chance to explore the local sports community and discover various initiatives that promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

As every year, the charity campaign “I Run and Help!” will once again be an important part of the festival. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the official festival T-shirt will be donated to a local Rijeka association or institution, selected by the Festival Organizing Committee, that provides support to socially vulnerable groups within the community.

Through this initiative, the Festival of Sport and Recreation “Homo si teć / Rijeka Run” has so far raised funds for numerous associations, institutions, and civic initiatives. Among the beneficiaries are Kantrida Children’s Hospital, the Social Supermarket, the Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities “Srce Rijeka,” the Down Syndrome Association “Rijeka 21,” the “My Place Under the Sun” program supporting children living in disadvantaged social and economic conditions, the Rijeka Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities, and the Society for Pediatric Surgery.
