Hostel Dharma’s inception story revolves around the revitalisation of an erstwhile industrial complex (the former ‘Vulkan’ factory), which is a project that in 2015 received an award from ECTN (European Cultural Tourism Network), a body under the auspices of the Council of the European Union.
Hostel Dharma comprises 34 rooms, mostly double and triple, with one quadruple room and a room with seven beds. All rooms have separate air-conditioned private bathrooms.
There is a spacious private parking lot available to guests of Hostel Dharma, which also houses the vegetarian bistro ‘Tifan Co.’ that serves breakfast and lunch daily as well as dinners for larger groups per arrangement.
The hostel is located in the easternmost part of Rijeka, while the most beautiful beaches in Rijeka are only 5 min. away in the neighbourhood of Pećine.
Just 500 m from the hostel you will find Tower Center, the largest shopping mall in the region. Situated 4 km from the city centre, the hostel is hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city in a quiet area.
The yoga hall, where the hostel’s guests can attend regular yoga classes in accordance with the world-renowned and scientifically acknowledged system “Yoga in Daily Life”, gives the hostel an aura of serenity.
Lonely Planet, the world’s foremost travel guide book, singled out Hostel Dharma as a “top choice” in its biannual Croatian edition as early as 2015, further recommending it in the subsequent 2017, 2019 and 2021 issues.
