The moment eagerly awaited by every child all year long is almost upon us. Waking up on Christmas morning, hopeful that Santa had paid them a visit, and curiously darting towards the bedecked Christmas tree. It occupies their minds throughout the year as they compile their wishlists and try to be on their best behaviour, knowing perfectly well that Santa watches their every step, and sees and knows everything about them. The magic of the good Santa Claus giving out presents brings joy to children that is beyond compare.
Each year Santa is flooded with millions of letters from children across the globe and this arduous task requires him to enlist the help of his elves who manage the operations of Santa’s central post office where all the Christmas wishes are received.
This is serious business in terms of logistics because every letter must personally reach Santa Claus. In order to avoid misplacing any letters and thus ensure that all the wishes and dreams of our little ones find their way into the right hands, an exclusive branch of Santa Claus’ Post Office will open in Rijeka during Rijeka Advent as a constituent of its central postal infrastructure from which the letters will be sent to the North Pole via an express reindeer route.
But that’s not all since Santa will personally receive letters in his office and, with the aid of adorable elves, provide an unparalleled holiday experience for all the kids who decide to visit him.
All this magic will occur once again in an inimitable venue beneath the city, the one-of-a-kind Rijeka Tunnel which can be entered near the Cathedral of St. Vitus.
This year the good Santa and the diligent elves will be supported by Plodine, which will help make the world’s most fascinating post office even bigger and more beguiling, while also having a few extra surprises in store for all the children!
Start working on your letters, pen down your wishes and messages to your favourite Santa because this year Rijeka boasts its very own Santa Claus’ Post Office!
Santa Claus can’t wait to meet children from Rijeka and listen to and read all their thoughts and wishes!
This year you can also take part in decorating Santa Claus’ Post Office! Simply bring a Christmas ornament that you no longer use at home and the elves will find a new purpose for it, while also preparing a sweet treat for you!
We won’t spill all the beans just yet, except that Santa Claus’ Post Office will be brimming with new features bound to delight adults as well as children for whom every chance to experience the world of Santa Claus, who can fulfil all their wishes, is a dream come true.
Santa Claus’ Post Office opens on 3 December and closes on 31 December 2023.
You can visit Santa Claus’ Post Office in the Rijeka Tunnel from Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. are reserved for kindergartens and schools.
