SUMMARY:Sanela Jahić: Under the Calcuclative Gaze
DESCRIPTION:Organized by Drugo more\, Slovenian interdisciplinary artist Sanela Jahić will present her solo exhibition Under the Calculative Gaze at the Filodrammatica Gallery (Korzo 28/1\, Rijeka) from April 4th to 25th. The exhibition explores the issues and possible responses to the application of artificial intelligence in the daily lives of various marginalized groups worldwide\, who occupy lower positions on the social ladder in their environments. In the video No to AI\, Yes to a Non-fascist Apparatus\, the author highlights several grassroots movements\, networks\, and social centers united by their common commitment to better social conditions and solidarity in the fight against the algorithmic apparatus. Through two short films titled Workers’ Initiative\, the artist follows the efforts of Amazon warehouse workers in Poland as they strive for improved working conditions through international organizing and coordinated pressure on the company. \n
