The Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka, together with its partners, has once again this year prepared a special benefit for all visitors who stay in Rijeka for two or more nights during the winter period, from the beginning of October until the end of March.
For the fifth year in a row, the Winter Pass confirms its value both as support in informing visitors about the city’s rich tourist offer and as an additional incentive to visit Rijeka in the colder part of the year.
The project has been recognized and well received not only among accommodation providers but also among domestic and foreign visitors, and its use has been growing year after year. Strong promotion in key markets, especially in the run-up to the city’s biggest winter events such as Winter at the Castle, Advent in Rijeka, and the Rijeka Carnival, has ensured excellent visibility and contributed to strengthening Rijeka’s image as an attractive year-round destination.
Institutions and organizations have once again joined forces with the Tourist Board of Rijeka to ensure additional promotion, greater visitor numbers, and a more diverse offer. This program provides visitors with a complete tourism product, while the city further stands out with its wealth of attractions and ideas for a quality winter stay.
The Winter Pass offers free admission to the City of Rijeka Museum – Sugar Palace, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Natural History Museum Rijeka, the JGL Pharmacy Museum, Trsat Castle, Peek & Poke – Museum of Childhood and Museum of Informatics, the Rijeka Astronomical Centre, Kantrida Swimming Pools, the City of Rijeka Museum – Cube, and the Rijeka Tunnel. The Winter Pass is issued at the request of the accommodation provider where guests are staying, via the Rijeka CityCard portal. It is necessary to activate an RCC account, select the Winter Pass service, generate vouchers and download them, after which they are sent to guests by e-mail.
The pass consists of QR codes that replace tickets for the included attractions, and visitors simply scan them at the entrance to the attraction to gain free admission.
