The ray lives in the Kvarner Bay. These are fish with a cartilaginous skeleton whose characteristic is a very flat body. They are leaf-shaped or board like a rhombus and are famously often called sea leaves. They move with slow movements like a wave using their chest fins and as such move badly, so most of their time is spent hidden in the sand on the sea bottom. The fish’s tail is very narrow and in most species it resembles a whip, and its back fin is right on its back.
