The glass is decorated with the emblem of the city of Rijeka, which is based on the historical emblem that dates back to the 6th June1659. donated by the Croatian king and Holy Roman Empire’s emperor Leopold I on 6th June 1659. In the oval shield, standing with its right leg on a rock, is a black double-headed eagle, with its wings raised and both of his heads looking to the left, with golden beaks and legs and red tongues. In its left leg, it holds a jug from which abundant quantities of water are poured around the rock. Under the shield is a ribbon with the inscription “INDEFICIENTER” (inexhaustible).
