DESCRIPTION:GDJE JE ŽENI MJESTO? – Žene u modernoj umjetnosti: izložba iz zbirke MMSU-a predstavlja radove koji prikazuju žene unutar društvenog okvira 20. stoljeća. Datirana u razdoblje moderne do 1970. godine\, ova umjetnička djela pružaju uvid u identitete i uloge žena kao odraz tadašnjeg vremena i njihovog položaja u zajednici. Središnja tema izložbe istražuje kako su tradicionalni narativi i normativi oblikovali prikaze žena unutar različitih klasnih i rodnih odnosa te kako su oni ugrađeni u sadašnju društvenu stvarnost. Organizirana je u segmente posvećene različitim ulogama žene te potiče na aktivno sudjelovanje i kritičko razmišljanje o načinu kako dominantne strukture i vrijednosti određenog razdoblja i prostora oblikuju umjetničku praksu i interpretaciju. Neke od izložbenih tema su: Rad u kući i izvan kuće\, Portreti žena\, Žena i majčinstvo\, Žena u ratu.

SUMMARY:The Game Gone Wrong: a workshop of playing and camping
DESCRIPTION:As a continuation of the exhibition Games We Follow\, Games We Create by the artist Petra Mrša\, on Saturday\, March 23rd\, from 3 to 5 PM\, a workshop titled The Game Gone Wrong will take place in the large hall of Filodrammatica. The workshop will be led by multimedia artists Mia Štark and Gabriel Hensche.\nThis workshop is free of charge and welcomes participants of all ages\, from 6 to 99\, who are proficient in Croatian or English. No prior experience in playing or camping is required\, although if you have a tent\, you are encouraged to bring it along.

DESCRIPTION:British sociologist and political scientist Emma Dowling will give a lecture titled Care Beyond Crisis: From Privatisation to Solidarity\, on Wednesday\, March 27th\, at 7 p.m. Organized by Drugo more association\, the lecture will take place at the Filodrammatica Gallery (Korzo 28/1\, Rijeka). Admission is free.\nAll too often the problems we face as a society are couched in terms of the needs of ‘the economy’\, with all else appearing as secondary. However\, were we to change our view and look at the economy from the perspective of care\, our debates about the problems we face and the solutions to them would change. In her talk\, Emma Dowling will chart the multifaceted nature of the current care crisis\, its structural causes\, dynamics and consequences\, raising the unavoidable question: how do we end the care crisis?
